Thank You God For Mom
When darkness girds me and robs my spirit with its spiders clutch. When despair is my only companion. When those I thought where my friends seem to shun my presence and strangers curse my passing. I call and ask if you'd like to go to lunch. We sit in bright sunlight and slurp tasty pho. The waiter's jovial and people walking by indifferent as they pass. We talk as old friends. You're my oldest friend. There's no shadow between us. Like Jesus calling to walk on water your gaze doesn't let me sink. The depths of despair far beneath the pavement.
I believe in Love because of you. Can never hate because of you. No matter what life throws at Me or karma sends my way. Can only shed tears of joy for the amazing gift that was given. Taught as a child Jesus loves Me. It's through your eyes I find the truth. Thank You Mom and thank You God for Mom and life the way it is. Full of events, choices, and mistakes. Most of all the mistakes. They allow me to appreciate the miracle. Perfect Love that shines through your eyes. Shines through life. Makes us one.
Thank You Mom. Your Child.
